Universal digital AAP: Orange & Gold planning
Compare posted waits and plan around your Attractions Assistance Pass (AAP). QueuePulse makes both Orange and Gold visible and uses the same return-time estimate for each.

How digital AAP works at Universal Orlando
Universal sets up eligible guests’ AAP in its app. Once inside the relevant park, choose an eligible attraction, confirm your companion party, and request a return time. Universal assigns it using the posted wait. Return at the assigned time with the AAP holder present for validation.
Participating shows have their own arrival times, generally 20 minutes before the next available performance. Halloween Horror Nights houses become available after opening. Volcano Bay requires a Guest Services visit for its AAP wristband.
Read Universal’s current AAP instructions. Physical passes remain available through Universal for guests who do not use the app.
Orange and Gold use the same estimate
Select the accommodation Universal issued you. Gold is a visible choice in QueuePulse, with no hidden unlock. Selecting Gold does not reduce the estimated return wait or promise immediate boarding. Follow Universal’s instructions for your issued accommodation.
| Posted standby wait | Orange estimate | Gold estimate |
|---|---|---|
| 60 minutes | About 60 minutes until return | About 60 minutes until return |
What the estimate means
For Orlando rides, QueuePulse uses the full posted wait as a planning proxy and shows an approximate return clock in Eastern time. It does not subtract 15 minutes or guess that your remaining queue takes half the standby wait.
The app’s assigned time takes priority, including for short waits. Queue or boarding time afterward varies; the estimate is not total time until you ride. Refreshing QueuePulse updates the hypothetical estimate, not an existing reservation.
QueuePulse does not book or connect to your AAP. This Orlando estimate is not applied to Hollywood or other destinations; check with the local attraction attendant.
Use the guide with live waits
Open Epic Universe, Islands of Adventure, or Universal Studios Florida, select the wheelchair accessibility tab, and switch on AAP Mode. Orange and Gold are both available in that tab.
